Guide to Tipping Strip Club Staff

Most strip club customers know that tipping is a must for the strippers working. However, many customers forget about the rest of the strip club employees. It can be hard to concentrate on anything but the beautiful ladies onstage but it pays to tip the strip club staff. Strip club staff will remember customers who tip regularly and are nice. Read on to better understand which strip club staff you should tip and what that tipping can get you.
Doorman
The doorman at a strip club is not only the first person that you normally encounter but also the first strip club staffer that you should remember to tip. Doormen are at all strip clubs but some are more apparent than others. Large and upscale strip clubs can have a doorman that is out front with the velvet rope and the clip board. However, smaller clubs will just have a guy inside that checks ID’s and takes the cover charge. It may seem silly to tip a guy that you have so little contact with but the doorman has a lot of power. A doorman almost always carry VIP passes or no cover passes and regular tipping to the doorman will net you some of these. If that club does not have passes, the doorman may just let you slide by at no charge. If the strip club you attend has a waiting line, you might also be able to walk right in. These doorman perks are usually only for people who tip on a regular basis. Do not expect anything for the first couple times that you tip because it can make the doorman defensive.
Bartender
The bartender is usually the second strip club staff that people encounter during their strip club visit. The bartender is more than just the bartender at most clubs. The bartender can be your bank teller, secretary, and he or she gets you alcohol. Bartenders will remember customers that tip and it can make them a little more heavy handed when adding the liquor to your beverages. Tipping can also helped you get served a little faster at a busy bar. It is not necessary to tip the bartender for every drink that is made for you but every 2-3 drinks is a good rule of thumb.
Floor Manager/House Mom
This strip club staff member is not in all strip clubs. This is like a receptionist/hostess type position that seats you and sometimes schedules private dances. If you have any questions about house rules, strippers, or anything else than this would be a good person to ask. Tipping the house mom can get you better seats than you would have gotten otherwise.
DJ
The DJ is a classically overlooked strip club staff member when it comes to tip. Customers tend to ignore the DJ because he just plays the music, right? Wrong! The DJ plays the music, creates the line up of strippers, maintains that lineup throughout the night, and plays the girls favorite songs. The DJ is also usually in good with the strippers and he might be inclined to direct some lovely ladies your way if he likes you. Just tipping once a visit should be sufficient for the DJ.
Waitress
Unfortunately, this strip club staffer is probably the most overlooked when it comes to the strip club staff. Most customers at the strip club tend to go and get their own drinks so that they can get up and look around. Even if customers do use the waitress, they tend to not tip her. The waitress is one of the few strip club staff members that is typically not on the receiving end of the payout from the strippers. That means she is working for only tips and maybe a measly wage from the bar. It will be noticed if you remember to tip the waitress. If you like to go to the bar, just purchase one drink from her and give her a tip.
These are your most basic strip club staff members that should receive tips from you. It can be hard to tip a dollar to some one when you do not get instant gratification, like you do with a stripper. However, tipping regularly will set you up to have the best possible experience at the strip club.
